What to include in your listing

• Photos of the actual lot: close-up and a wider shot of bags or bales.
• Grade and colour: for example raffia, injection, blow or film; natural, white, coloured or black.
• Monthly capacity and location: buyers plan freight and continuity around these.
• Hardness: Shore hardness tells you how soft or firm an elastomer is. Agree the Shore A or D range for your product.
• Density: Density confirms the polymer and shows filler content. A density higher than expected usually means filler or mixed material.
• Contamination: Labels, paper, metal, sand and other polymers lower quality. Agree an acceptable limit and how it will be checked on arrival.
• Moisture: Moisture causes bubbles, silver streaks and weak parts. Ask for the moisture percentage and whether the material needs drying before use.
• MFI: Melt flow index (g/10 min) tells you how easily the material flows. Match it to your process: low for pipe and blow moulding, medium for film and raffia, higher for thin-wall injection moulding.
