ABS Injection Scrap is scrap ABS sourced from moulded parts. Scrap is material as collected: sorted by polymer, grade and colour, but not yet ground or pelletised. It is the lowest-cost way in and suits recyclers who wash, grind and extrude in-house.

What to check before you buy
- MFI: Melt flow index (g/10 min) tells you how easily the material flows. Match it to your process: low for pipe and blow moulding, medium for film and raffia, higher for thin-wall injection moulding.
- Impact: Impact strength shows how tough the material is. It matters for crates, automotive parts and anything that is dropped or loaded.
- Contamination: Labels, paper, metal, sand and other polymers lower quality. Agree an acceptable limit and how it will be checked on arrival.
- Lot check: Ask for photos of the actual lot, whether it is post-industrial or post-consumer, polymer purity, moisture, and how much label, paper, metal or other polymer is mixed in. Confirm the bale or bag weight and how much loads per truck.
